Available in single, 8-, and 12-channel configurations, the SOLO™ Automated Liquid Handler is a flexible automated pipetting system built around industry-standard pipette technology, integrated with Hudson’s precision motor drive for improved consistency and throughput.
SOLO delivers reliable performance within the specified operating range of the pipette, with validated accuracy and precision aligned to ISO 8655 standards. For a 20–200 µL pipette, performance is specified at ≥20 µL, ensuring robust and reproducible liquid handling. Typical precision is ≤1% CV depending on volume and liquid characteristics, with higher volumes delivering improved consistency.

Users who wish to cherry-pick from individual wells can use either the single-tip SOLO (as shown in the video clip below) or the multi-tip configuration by picking up a single tip at a time. The SOLO 8-channel pipet head can work with just one tip, several tips, or all 8 tips without any issues. There is no need to switch to a single tip pipette head.
The SOLO multi-tip offers a broad pipetting range. The mechanical drive and software controls of the pipette head allow the SOLO to push the boundaries of pipetting performance & liquid handling.
